Hi folks, Happy New Year!!! It is year 2007... a new beginning for all of us, let the bad memories fade away and bring along the good memories to this New Year.
Glad that the outing i planned is successful... xinhui, jiahui, shangmay, jane, yaohui and i finally met on 27th Dec! Yes!!! Sebas is missing from this outing cos he is always so bussssssy... (anyway outing without him is still fun. haha..)
we did not go to mind cafe instead we went to eat steamboat, which xinhui suggested. We had steamboat at RajaInn which was located in Tiong Bahru Plaza. Buffet and ala carte are not worth the money so we chose steamboat set for each of us. jiahui, xinhui & i chose the tomyam for the steamboat soup, while yaohui chose chicken soup. The 4 of us were sitting at a 6-seater table, cos jane and shangmay will only join us for a while. And so we ordered 4 sets and supposedly to have only 4 bowls of rice but end up they serve us 6 bowls.. so the 2 extra bowls of rice can be considered free.. haha. the tom yam is too hot and spicy for me so i ate up my rice quite quickly and of course I took another half bowl of rice. the remaining half bowl of rice is finished up by yaohui. with 1 bowl of rice left untouched, we ordered a plate of slice fish to go with the last bowl of rice. comparing with what we had each, jiahui & xinhui each ate only 1 bowl of rice, while I finished up 1.5 bowl + 1 mouthful of rice and yaohui ate 2.5 bowl minus 1 mouthful of rice.. haha However the ingredient for the steamboat does not have many variety but it still mange to fill up our stomach, overall the soup is not too bad. xinhui decided to treat us and refuse to let us pay.. soooo jiahui & I had to resort to tucking $$$ into her bag secretly.. haha I managed to do it successfully but in the end xinhui saw the $$$ in her bag when she went to Guardian to buy something. we went shopping around tiong bahru plaza for a while ( it's my first time there) then after that we made our way home together. We had a great chat in the train and the next outing was...... steamboat at jiahui's house!!! Yeah!!!
The days are ending and school is starting soon.. i'm sure i will miss the days working in schlumberger. angie gave her approval to let my cousin replace me after i left.. glad that I helped my cousin to find a job since she had already gone for 15 interviews and yet not one is successful .. hope she will enjoy working there as temp girl. =)
