豆花

I had my first try of 豆花 with 黑糖! It was simply fantastic. It was very different from having it with just normal sugar syrup with the pandan fragrance. The black sugar has a unique fragrance and it is not too sweet. It complements the 豆花 very well. The aftertaste lingering in my mouth makes me want to eat more... and so I had 3 full bowls of it. : )


Some info on black sugar:
- It is extracted from sugar cane. It contains iron, calcium and other minerals, therefore is healthier and and also more tasty than white processed sugar. Another type of sugar which is the brown sugar has a few of the benefits of black sugar but not as really as good.


I'm quite curious, why is it black... but nevertheless, I still simply love it with my 豆花 :)
